In addition to commissioning our own equipment, Helix has become a preferred commissioning partner for a number of European and Domestic OEMs who have realized the benefits of partnering with a competent support staff close to their customer. Helix will often provide support engineers during the start up phase of purchased equipment so the customer will have an experienced company nearby for future support.

During the commissioning process, Helix staff works under a clearly defined set of processes that were developed to assure a safe and effective start up. All plants will be expected to follow lock out tag out procedures, daily sign off of work completed and permits for hot work, system disruptions etc.

While many jobs can be commissioned using just Helix personnel, we also have access to a number of partners we work with to contract additional qualified personnel as required. This assures that we can meet our deadlines even in the busiest of time.

As we all know, not all work can be planned, emergencies do occur! Helix controls services group is made up of engineers who excel at quickly evaluating a problem and understanding the systems that control the equipment.

Controls service members are selected for a service call based on the complexity of the issue and the systems involved. Helix has staff experienced with general control issues including sensors, limit switches and control devices, as well as more complex systems including motion, PLC controls, robotics and HMIs. Long Term Site Support

For those customer looking to augment their current staff with outside resources, Helix provides two commonly used options.

  1. Helix provides long term contracted personnel for periods from 6 months to 3 years. These staff members are provided based on a term rate for 40 hours per week. Overtime is added on a negotiated time and material rate. The staff members report directly to your site, under your supervision.
  2. Preferred service contract: For customers requiring a guaranteed response time for services, Helix will negotiate a Preferred Service Contract that will detail the capability of the service person who will be provided and the response time.
